Busy, Busy, Busy
Hope everyone had a great Easter holiday. I visited family in Michigan, and the trip included a late lunch at Bell’s Eccentric Café. Didn’t have time for a full blog post–still don’t–but I have been Tweeting since Friday on the Stone and CBC events in Chicago as well as the visit to Bell’s. Don’t have time for a real post today either, so just a quick update:
Stone in Chicago: Lots of party’s everywhere. Did the trolley thing with The Small Bar on Friday. Tasted some nice Stone beers including Cali-Belgique, which tasted more like a Belgian single than an IPA. Could get used to it. Still like my Logan Square SB best.
Lagunitas Chicago Fusion: This was my Friday session beer. Nice, balanced quaffer. Kudos.
Bell’s visit: The beer garden was open, two Franco-Belgian things on, and the standards tasted super fresh. Kids loved the beer garden, and Chi-Chi, our newly acquired Chihuahua-droid, enjoyed the Two Hearted and the Bison Burger.
Will try to Tweet or post on Wednesday’s Craft Brewers Conference official Opening Reception. It takes place among giant fossils and such at the Field Museum of Natural History, and it will include Cheese and Beer. Did I mention I love Artisan Cheese and Craft Beer!!
